Rendering a Video in Sony Vegas

NETS-T: Standard 3c: Communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital age media and formats.
This screencast was created in order to demonstrate the process of rendering a completed video out of a software editor so it can be viewed in a stand-alone video player. The cast uses an audio voice-over and screen capture software to track my movements around the screen. The student can then follow these steps visually, rather than through simply text. To cater to a variety of learning styles, the instructions alongside this screencast within the course itself includes step-by-step text instructions also.

Create Files and Folders Prezi

NETS-T: Standard 2a: Design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity.

NETS-T: Standard 3a: Demonstrate fluency in technology systems and the transfer of current knowledge to new technologies and situations.

This series of Prezi slides and embedded videos adapts and transfers the traditionally lecture based process of demonstrating file management to students. Using digital tools such as slide navigation and digital tutorials allows students to learn and experience at their own pace, replaying each step of the tutorial as necessary.
